Mr. Ronald Borchardt, age 77 of Mountain Home passed on to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Ronald Borchardt was born November 18, 1932 in Shorewood, Wisconsin to Harry and Violet (Wagner) Borchardt. He married Margarete Fritzke of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 3, 1953 and they had a special love for each other for 57 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mr. Ronald Borchardt is survived by his wife Margarete Borchardt of the home, 2 daughters; Debra Griesbach (Darrell) of Greenfield, Wisconsin and Sharon Borchardt of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, 4 grandsons; David (Heather), Douglas, Daniel, and Darren. One great-granddaughter; Arwen Griesbach, a special cousin; Gerald Tackes of North Prairie, Wisconsin, and dear special friends, Carl and Mary Lentz of Mountain Home, and many more friends. He especially loved his two cats, Sunny and Noel.

Ron retired in 1994 from Magaw Electric Company after 44 years as an electrician. In 1955 he started as an electrician at the Milwaukee County Stadium, Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club, for which he worked 22 years until it was torn down to build the Miller Park Stadium. When he retired they put his picture on the baseball score board and presented him with his own baseball jersey. Ron was a lifetime member of the Twin Lakes Gun Club where he enjoyed shooting muzzleloaders and was a member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association. He also was a member of the North Arkansas Woodcarvers Club and loved working with wood and making furniture. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church and rarely missed a Sunday service. He was always helpful to anyone who needed it and was well liked by everyone.

Visitation for Mr. Borchardt will be Noon – 9 PM Tuesday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor David Kapler officiating. Entombment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens’ Mausoleum of Honor. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Home or Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
