PALMER, Mary A. - Just a few days ago, near Hoover, this county, Mrs. Mary A. Palmer died in her ninety-seventh year. She was born in Virginia, January 28, 1804, moved with her parents to Bedford county, Tenn. in 1821. To this woman was born twelve children, six of whom survive her, four girls and two boys. She had forty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight of them still live. She had about sixty-five great-grandchildren. She came to Benton county with her husband in 1852 and settled on Pea Ridge for a few years, then moved to the place where she died and had lived there ever since.
