Johnson Girl Dies In Crash

Rhonda Rose, 10, daughter of Mrs. Ardith L. Hanson Rose, Johnson, was killed Sunday when a truck in which she was riding hit a guardrail and overturned an a Dallas, Tex, freeway.

The driver of the truck, Bob G. Stidham of Shady Grove Trailer Park, Springdale, was arrested by Dallas police and charged with homicide with a vehicle after he allegedly fell asleep at the wheel.

Stidham was a driver for the Cawood Produce Co., Springdale. He was taking the girl to Texas to visit relatives in Houston, police said. She was asleep in the cab when the wreck occurred.

Rhonda was born July 4, 1964, in Springdale, the daughter of Robert and Ardith Hauson Rose. She was a Lutheran.

Survivors include her mother of the home; a brother, Richard Rose of Springdale; and a sister, Renae, of the home.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church with burial in Lutheran Cemetery under direction or Sisco Chapel Funeral Home, Springdale.

Rhonda D. Rose, 10, Johnson, Ark., died Sept. 8 in Dallas, Tex. Born July 4, 1964, in Springdale she was the daughter of William Robert and Ardith L. Hanson Rose, and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and a student in the Springdale Schools.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Ardith L. Rose of the home; one brother, Richard Rose of Springdale; and one sister, Renae Rose of the home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Salem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery under direction of Sisco Chapel.
