BENTONVILLE — Duane Leroy "Ole" Peterson, 74, of Bentonville died March 22, 2006, at Circle of Life in Springdale. He was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Archer, Iowa, to Bernard and Leta Clow Peterson. He moved to Bentonville in 1977. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Rogers, where he served as a board member, usher and Sunday school teacher. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Navarro. He was a heavy machinery operator and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Audrey Koepnick Peterson; three daughters, Deb Menning and husband Steve of Bentonville, Peg Cocke and husband Kevin of Bella Vista and Denise Clark and husband James of Bentonville; one brother, Ron Peterson of Spencer, Iowa; four granddaughters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Rogers with Alan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, online at www.mem.com.

Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 1599 Olive St., Rogers, 72756.
