Funeral services for Patricia J. Steger, 67, of Mountain Home will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 6, 2006, at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Kenneth Taglauer officiating. Patricia Steger died Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at Care Manor Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, October 5, 2006, at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel. She was born December 24, 1938, at Chicago Illinois, to Homer Michael and Genevieve Wanda Sitko Petersen. She married Ralph Steger on October 17, 1959, at Chicago Illinois. She was a secretary who worked at Hospice of the Ozarks for 12 years. Patricia Steger lived in Mountain Home for 20 years, moving from Chicago, Illinois. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, needle point, crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and a former member of their chancel choir. She is survived by one sister, Joanne Schnurr of Whitehall, Wisconsin; two nieces; two nephews; one brother-in-law, Robert Steger of Rhinelander, Wisconsin; several special friends, including Joyce Strauss of Mountain Home and John Leckert of Elizabeth, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Amy Jean. Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with John Leckert, Phil Thompson, Art Rosenkotter, Stephen Gadberry, John Williamson and Joseph Berfanger as pallbearers; and Joyce Strauss, Phyllis Bacon, Ted Sanders and Hospice of the Ozarks Staff as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Ozarks.
