Benton Courier Obituary April 9, 1987:
John Willis Crowson of Benton died today. He was 65.
He was a retired maintenance foreman for the Aluminum Company of America, a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.
Survivors are his wife, Alene Crowson; two sons, John W. Crowson, Jr., of Benton and Jimmy A. Crowson of Conway; three stepsons, Gerald Drew Cabe of Benton, Alan M. Cabe of Haskell, and Robert D. Cabe of Little Rock; two daughters, Sheila Stewart of Benton and Stephanie Parsons of Little Rock; five brothers, Billy Crowson, Ralph Crowson, Ray Crowson, and W. F. Crowson of Benton and Bobby Crowson of the Sardis community; two sisters, Pearl Buckelew of Tull and Evelyn Bledsoe of California; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Stephens and the Rev. John Ross officiating. Burial will be at New Rosemont Cemetery by Ashby Funeral Home.
