IMBODEN -- Dr. John Jay Saunders, 86, of Imboden died Thursday, March 10, at his residence.
The Oklahoma native had served in the Army Signal Corps during World War II as a radar instructor. He was a retired chiropractor.
Survivors include his wife, Addie Lou Davidson Saunders of the home; two sons, David Saunders and Stephen Saunders, both of Imboden; a brother, Wilson Saunders of Spokane, Wash.; and five sisters, Oleta Nickerson of Pine Hearst, Idaho, Ollie Vee Zoller of Amarillo, Texas, Ruby Nell Green and Billie Doris Carden, both of Paducah, Ky., and Lavonne Wilson of Dixon, Mo.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
A private memorial service will be held later by the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Sheriff's Youth Ranches.
