Modean Johnson Trusty 83, of North Little Rock died at Little Rock on Jan. 1, 2006. She was born July 25, 1922 in Dardanelle to the late Fred and Minnie Johnson. She was raised in Delaware, Ark., and a graduate of Dardanelle High School and University of Central Arkansas with a bachelor?s degree in elementary education. Modean taught elementary school in Rose City, Ark., for seven years and retired form North Heights Elementary after 29 years. She was a member of the Good Sams Travel Club of Arkansas and served as Park Host director for 17 years for the Arkansas State Parks. She was also a member of the Arkansas State Teachers Association.
Modean was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Jeff Trusty; three brothers, Clifford Johnson, Clarence Johnson and Carlton Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Arthur H. Trusty; two sons, Fred Trusty and his wife Lois of Anaheim, Calif., and Mike Trusty and his wife Paulette of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Kim Homesly and her husband Joe of Clarksville, Ark., Shane Trusty and his wife Shannon of Midlothian, Texas and Chase Trusty of Fayetteville; seven great grandchildren, Shawn Trusty and his wife Stacy of Ohio, Jill Homesly, Steven Homsely, Gail Homesly, Conner Trusty, Abigal Trusty, Austin Trusty and Hudson Trusty; one step grandchild, Tyler Enelbrecht, one great-great grandchild Hailey Curtis.
