KINDLEY, Cynthia Ann LAMBERT - Died July 12, 1900, at her residence four miles northeast of Bentonville, Cynthia Ann Kindley {nee Lambert} in the 76th year of her age. The deceased was born in Randolph county, North Carolina May 9, 1825. March 25th, 1840 she was married to Cyrus Kindley. To them were born 10 children, six of whom survive her. She came with her husband to Arkansas in 1852 and lived upon the farm where she died about 45 years. About 30 years ago she, with her husband, united with the Bentonville congregation of the C.P. Church. Sixteen years ago in the division of that congregation she, by consent, became a member of the new organization known as Woods' congregation. She was a consistent, devoted and efficient member, always willing and ready to do her duty as she understood it. She was endowed with unusual physical and mental ability and pursued the business of life and the duties of religion in a way that proved to all who best knew her that she had the courage of her convictions. As a neighbor during almost half a century she demonstrated that she was kind, generous and just, always ready to help the helpless and the afflicted. As a mother she doted upon her children and labored unceasingly for their welfare. This maternal love remained increasingly great unto the end. The community has lost one of its best members, the church a good soldier of the cross, the family a devoted mother with all that word in its strongest, sweetest and purest definition means. P. Carnahan, Pastor.
