ROGERS — Jerald E. Degenais, of Rogers died June 28, 2000, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born June 26, 1931,, in Escanaba, Wis., to Mr. and Mrs. Jerald E. Degenais Sr.

He moved to the Rogers area in 1989, after retiring as a chief petty officer in the Navy. He was a past commander of the Disabled American Veterans, and he enjoyed building model ships and doll houses.

Survivors include his wife, Goidie Grueser Degenais, to whom he was married June 16, 1960; three daughters, Michelle Slagle of Birmingham, Ala., Annette Villebro of Union Grove, Wis., and Deborah Vince of Old Forge, Pa.; one brother, Bill Degenais of Gary, Ind.; two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Callisan-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers with burial in Douglas Cemetery. The honor guard will be conducted by American Legion Post 100.
