Ethelbert Scrugham, 89, of Pea Ridge, died Jan. 14, 1991, at St. Marys-Rogers Memorial Hospital in Rogers. He was born Dec. 22, 1901, in Lexington, Ky., to George Scrugham and Sarah McConnell Scrugham.
He moved from California to this area in 1964. He was a retired major with the U.S Army, with which he served 32 years. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a shriner, and past member of Rogers Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of Pentecostal Church of God in LaHabra, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Adams Scrugham of the home.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mausoleum Chapel at Benton County Memorial Park. Entombment will be in Benton County Memorial Park Mausoleum by Burns Funeral Home of Rogers.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at Burns Funeral Chapel in Rogers.
