Nancy PRIDE

Millwee Cemetery
Sevier County,
Arkansas

1828 - 1847

Born in Morgan County, Alabama and died in Sevier County, AR. The first person buried in Millwee Cemetery, but unfortunately her grave is unmarked.

According to information from the family, the photo below is the approximate location of Nancy's burial site. The exact location is not known. However, her grave and the grave of her mother are believed to be near the grave of Steve H. Barnett. The two markers in the foreground are those markers.

The family says that Nancy and her fiancée Isaac Newton Jackson were taking a walk on the family property and she pointed up on a hill to her favorite tree on the property saying when she died she wanted to be buried under that tree. The following Sunday she was buried under that tree.
