Bonnie Maydell Hanks, 94 of Fayetteville died December 6, 2009 at Fayetteville. She was born November 8, 1915 in Johnson to Bert V. and Maude E. Mason Hanks.

Bonnie started her 40 year banking career in 1943. She was a Vice President for First National Bank of Springdale. She began her extensive career at First National as a teller – bookkeeper working as one of only six employees. She was a charter member of Business and Professional Women's Club in Northwest Arkansas. She was the City of Johnson's first Clerk Recorder. She served as a member of Shiloh Museum and Board and Stuckey Cemetery Board.

Survivors include three nephews Don Bailey, Gene Bailey and Bill Bailey; two nieces Betty Reed and Maudine Sanders and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Friday, December 11, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Rev. Jim Huffman officiating. Memorials may be made to the Shiloh Museum, 118 W. Johnson Ave., Springdale, Arkansas 72764.
