FIELDS, Sam - We are informed of the death of Sam Fields, who has been a resident of Oklahoma beyond Maysville for many years and perhaps the best known citizen of that section and a well-to-do farmer. Death came unexpectedly Sunday night and is attributed to heart failure. The Fields family are related to L.A. Phillips and family of our city. While we have no particulars we understand Mr. Fields was nearing 75 years of age and that he leaves quite an estate. The News-Herald extends condolence to those left behind.
