Prairie View ~ Clare Edward Wolf of Prairie View died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, in Clarksville. He was born Dec 12, 1914, in Wesley, Iowa. He was a retired farmer, an Army veteran of World War II, served on the board of North Logan County Farm Bureau, the Scranton School board, was road foreman and Civil Defense director for Logan County, was a Catholic and lighted the Sesquicentennial Flame for the 150th anniversary of the Catholic Church in Arkansas in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; five daughters, Karen Dobbs of Conway, Charlotte Kuester of Orlando, Fla., Rebecca Terwelp of Columbia, Mo., Christina Gray of Springdale, and Alice Kennedy of Overland Park, Kan.; five sons, Edward Wolf of Lake Charles, La., Michael Wolf of Lee’s Summitt, Mo., Greg Wolf of Hope, Fidelis Wolf of Prairie View, and Daniel Wolf of Baton Rouge, La.; five sisters, Maxine McQueeny of Omaha, Neb., Catherine Bingham of Seattle, Shirley Bristow of Backus, Minn., Nedra Light of Denver, and Patricia Brenden of Northfield, Minn.; 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
