GREGG, Mary A. Shreve — {from the Fayetteville Daily} Mrs. Mary A. Gregg, wife of Judge L. Gregg, entered into rest at her home in this city at 9 o'clock last night in the 70th year of her age, says Saturday's Fayetteville Daily. Mrs. Gregg was born in Kentucky and was Mrs. Mary Shreve when she moved to Arkansas in early youth. In December 1852 she was married to Judge Gregg, a young lawyer of Fayetteville and lived happily with him until separated by death about ten years ago. Mrs. Gregg was taken ill several months ago, and although the resources of science and medicine were exhausted in her behalf, she grew steadily worse until the end, and the children who have watched over her and cared for her with the tenderest devotion, are rewarded only with the consciousness of having done "everything that was possible" to alleviate her sufferings. Three sons, Dr. A.S. and Messrs L.W. and H.L. Gregg and one daughter, Miss Ida, survive her. The funeral will take place from the family residence on Gregg street at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning, Rev. Ragland conducting the services. The interment will take place in Evergreen cemetery.
