Obituary from The Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, Arkansas:
Mart Holland age 111 died at the home of his son Frank, in Jackson County, last Thursday. Burial was in Douglas Cemetery. He came here from Kentucky after the Civil War. He was a Confederate in Kentucky Regiment. He came here in the late 60s. He was the first person to ride in an airplane in this county at age 94, 17 years ago. He leaves five children: Frank, Wes, Mrs. John Taylor and Mrs. Charles Bell. One son Floyd is dead.
Note: The obituary mentions leaving five children but only four are listed. A family history indicates that he and his wife had nine children (three born in Kentucky and six born in Arkansas). The history indicated that three died as infants (including one set of twins), and those three children were buried in the Hart Cemetery.
