BLACK ROCK -- Ray Lillard Luther, 84, of Black Rock died Thursday, July 10, at his residence.

Born in Walnut Ridge, he was a farmer and a member of the New Hope Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Luther of the home; a son, Danny Luther of Black Rock; a daughter, Carol Minton of Bono; three sisters, Ruth Sanders of Seattle, Leota Brightwell and Elva Piece, both of Missouri; four grandchildren, Steven Luther, Greg Minton, Sandy Fletcher and Tonya West; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L. L. and Mary Ida Smith Luther, a brother and four sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie with Wayne Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Strangers Home Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Lloyd Junior Richie, Joey Smith, Sid McGhehey, Kenneth Adams, L.D. Brightwell and Jimmy Brightwell.

Honorary pallbearers will include Grover Mullens and Gene Whitlow.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Ruby Crow Luther, 82, of Jonesboro, formerly of Black Rock, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007.

Survivors include a son, Danny Luther and wife Judy of Jonesboro; a daughter, Carol Minton and husband Raymond of Bono; two sisters, Lillie Snapp of Jonesboro and Shirley Ann Crow of Arnold, Mo.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and interment were held in Strangers Home Cemetery under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home of Hoxie.
