LEWIS, Jacob - {from Gravette} Uncle Jacob Lewis, an old time resident of this section, died at the home of his brother, Oscar, near Webb City Friday morning after a brief illness. He was about 85 years of age. Uncle Jake, as he was known to all, had been a denizen of this section for over 40 years, moving here from Tennessee soon after the Civil War. He served in the war on the Union side thruout the entire period. A short funeral service was held at Webb City and the remains were brought to Gravette where they were interred in the I.O.O.F. cemetery Sunday morning following the funeral service.
