Helen Erke Smitherman was born September 21, 1913 in Van Buren Arkansas to Edward William and Katherine King Erke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Newton Smitherman, Jr.
She is survived by her Sons, Robert Wayne and Eugene Lee both of Texas and a daughter, Betty Lou Smitherman Gaines of Hacienda Heights, California. Burial was in Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas
Isaac 'Newton' Smitherman was born on October 4, 1914 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Isaac Newton Smitherman and Lulu Augusta Tucker Smitherman. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Helen Erke Smitherman of the home. Two sons, Robert Wayne and Eugene Lee Smitherman, both of Texas and one daughter, Betty Lou Smitherman Gaines of Hacienda Heights, California. He was buried in Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas
