Mr. Eldon Eugene Davis, age 84, of Forrest City, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at his home. Mr. Davis was born Sept. 12, 1923, in Trenton, Tenn., the son of E.S. Davis and Mary Emma Taylor Davis. He lived in Forrest City since 1976, moving from Marianna. Mr. Davis was a tractor mechanic for Mixon & Webb before he went into business with Key and Davis Brothers. He also worked for Massey Ferguson for 10 years and was a retired agent for Greyhound-Trailways Bus Lines. Mr. Davis was also a veteran of World War II and was a Baptist. Mr. Davis married Marie Key Davis in 1948 and she survives him along with three daughters, Shirley Davis of Columbus, Ga., Cathy Dozier of Hot Springs and Darlene Emery of Collierville, Tenn.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, three sisters and six brothers. Visitation for Mr. Davis will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow visitation on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. graveside at Marianna Memorial Park Cemetery in Marianna.
