William Wallace Joyner 73 of Marianna died Tuesday (April 26, 2005). He was born December 31, 1931 in Munford, TN to the late John Wilburn Joyner and Lillian Timbs Joyner. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Veteran of the U. S. Air force and a retired Pharmacist where he was the Owner and Operator of Turner Drug Store for thirty-two years. He was past president of Methodist Men, Sunday School Teacher, member of the Arkansas Pharmacy Association, Charter member of Al-Anon, Rotary Club, Republican Party, Jaycees, President of Marianna Gun Club, Past commander of the American Legion in Marianna, Past President of Marianna Housing Authority.

He is survived by his wife Shirley, two daughters, Melanie Joyner of Munford, TN and Patsy Joyner of Marianna, sons, Wally Joyner and Randall Freeny both of Marianna, sister in Law Robbie Jackson and husband Charles of Munford, TN, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Nathaniel Joyner.

Services are 1 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Marianna with burial in Marianna Park Cemetery with Rev. Benny Harmon, Rev. Gary Anderson and Fr. Travis Frank officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Norris Hodge, Bobby Bomar, Kenneth LaMastus, Willie Millard, Bill McClain and Jack Hughey. Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Herron and Brett Shepherd. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Methodist Youth Camp.
