Mrs. Edna Simpson, 67 years old, at 147-B Jesse Turner Terrace, Van Buren, Arkansas, died Wednesday, May 17, 1967 in a local hospital. She was born December 22, 1899 at Princeton, Missouri and was the daughter of Marion and Ella (Law) West. She was a member of the First Baptist church.
Survivors were her husband, Joe R. Simpson; three sons, Joe, James Frankie; and Harold; two daughters, Shirley of Fort Smith and; Mildred of Dallas Texas; two brothers, Jack, a Commander in the U. S. Mavy and Doyel of Van Nuys, California: two sisters, Verda and Venitia both of Van Nuys, California and ten grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist church with the pastor, Bruce Cushman, officiating. Burial in the family lot at Gill cemetery was directed by Ocker Funeral Home.
Out of town relatives attended the funeral.
