Olen James Butts husband of Montine (Skinner) Butts. Olen married Mrs. Melba Kellim Butts after Montine died. Olen James Butts son of James Hazel Butts and Lillie (Jones) Butts.

Olen James "O.J." Butts, 84, of Hoxie, AR., died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, in St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro.

James was born near Lindsey Switch and had lived in Lawrence County for the past 35 years. He was a former test pilot and engineer for Paige Industries, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Melba Butts; daughter, Kim Huskey; son, Jim Butts; stepson, Tom Kellim; two sisters, Mayme Chappel and Syble Butts; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Park.
