ANOTHER LIFE TAKE IN AUTO CRASH AT ALMA
Joe Ed Groves, 21 years old resident of Mountainburg, died Tuesday, October 30, 1951, in a Fort Smith Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident last Friday, October 26, 1951.

Groves was en route to work at the Ward Furniture company last Friday morning when his car skidded on the slippery pavement on Highway 71 just north of Alma.

The young man was the husband of the former Miss Vonna Sue Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tome brown of Route 1 Mountainburg, whom he married in February of this year. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his father, and his step-mother, two brothers, and 5 sisters.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, November 1, at 2 o'clock at the Ocker Funeral home chapel, Rev. Tillman Pope, pastor of the Alma Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Peters cemetery near Mountainburg.
