Curtis Lee Hendrix, 85, of Mountainburg was born in Exeter, Missouri, on April 6, 1920. He died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at his home. He was a member of the Gregory Chapel Church of Christ. He served his country during World War II in the Navy. He retired from Eads Brothers Furniture Company 26 years ago.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sylvia of the home; two daughters, Shirley Brisco and her husband, Kenneth of Van Buren and Carolyn Philpot and her husband Randy of Fort Smith; one son, Milton Hendrix and his wife Debbie of Mountainburg; one sister, Treesa Barker of Maquoketa, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Terry Hendrix of Dallas, Bill Hendrix of Prairie Grove, John Hendrix of Mountainburg, Shawn Philpot of Fort Smith, Mark Voeller of Chester, Keith Voeller of Alma and Brian Voeller of Fort Smith; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m.Friday, April 15, 2005, at the Gregory Chapel Church of Christ in Alma with burial at Peters Cemetery in Graphic Community under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Mark, Keith and Brian Voeller, Shawn Philpot, Bill and Johnny Hendrix.
