Ivory Arthur Colcord, a victim of paralysis, succumbed at 2 a.m. yesterday after an illness of several months; aged 69. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S.S. Frazier at the home and the body was buried in I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Ivory Arthur Colcord was born April 12, 1852 at Genesa Grove, Whiteside Co., Ill. and was married to Antillia E. Preston May 20, 1872 at Chicago. To this union were born 8 children of whom three have preceded their father to the beyond. Two were present at the time of his death, Roy Colcord and Laura Bullock. The absent ones are Mrs. Pearl Nelson, Clay and Walter Colcord. The deceased are Hattie Lee, Elberton and Ernest Colcord. Mr. Colcord served in the Civil war as a private in Co. E, 46th Illinois Inf., enlisting Febr. 14, 1865 at Dixon, Ill. and was mustered out Jan. 20, 1867. He was converted 2 years ago last winter in the soldiers home at Quincy, Ill. and departed this life June 9th, 1920, aged 60 years, 2 months and 27 days.
