ALMA — Bryan D. Gassaway, 40, of Alma died Wednesday, June 14, 2006, in a local hospital. He was born May 22, 1966, in Little Rock. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ozark, an employee of Arkansas Valley Electric, a 1984 graduate of Ozark High School, an Air Force veteran and a member of Ozark Football Chain Gang.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church in Ozark with burial at Highland Cemetery in Ozark under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Misty; a daughter, Allyson Gassaway of the home; a son, Ryan Gassaway of the home; his mother, Sharon Putman of Fort Smith; a sister, Candy Atwell of Fort Smith; a brother, Kevin Gassaway of Ozark; and maternal grandmother, Ruby Carlile of Charleston.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Shaffer, Tim Drain, Jim Lane, Randy Beneux, Greg Willhite and Robert Maier. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Adult One Sunday school class of Calvary Baptist Church and employees of Arkansas Valley Electric Co.
