HAWLEY, C.W. - Mr. C.W. Hawley, an aged and highly respected citizen of Gentry, died suddenly while making a brief visit to the home of Rev. W.L.A. Stranburg Tuesday at about 11 a.m. He was apparently in his usual health and while in conversation with Rev. Stranburg and some other friends, dropped over and died almost instantly. Mr. Hawley was a member of the Methodist church and also of the G.A.R. and leaves a wife and several children to mourn his sudden departure. His son, Chas. Hawley and wife, who reside at Enid, Okla., arrived this morning from Memphis. He has three children in California but no word has been received from them. The funeral services will be held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. today, conducted by Dr. J.M. Bull. The G.A.R. will have charge of the ceremony at the grave.
