Friday, January 9. 1903
BURDICK, W.N. - W.N. Burdick died at his home a few miles east of here Wednesday afternoon after an illness of about two weeks. Mr. Burdick came here about two years ago with his family from South Dakota and has made many friends during his residence here and was regarded by all as a good citizen and a kind christian gentleman. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, conducted by Elder Hurley.

W.N. Burdick was born in Alfred, New York December 17th, 1839 and died at his home near Gentry, Ark. January 7th, 1903. He enlisted in the 86th Regiment of New York Volunteers in 1861 and received an honorable discharge in 1862. July 10th, 1865 he was married to Miss Mary E. Grow. She with the children are left to mourn.
