Lowell Gene Steward Sr., 38, of Van Buren died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, in his home. He was a resident of Van Buren and a self-employed roofer and was of the Pentecostal faith. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Steward Cemetery Arbor near Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. He is survived by his wife, Erika; three daughters, Amanda Steward of Van Buren, Sadie Steward of Illinois and DeAnna Sharum of Greenwood; four sons, Lowell Steward Jr. and Squire Steward, both of Van Buren, Nolan Steward of Illinois and Jacob Sharum of Greenwood; his mother and stepfather, Lou and James Barnett of Fort Smith; a sister, Pam Owens of Fort Smith; three brothers, Wallace and Rex Steward, both of Little Rock, and Robert Steward of Spiro; and one grandchild.
