Hoshaleen “Memaw” Patterson passed this life on September 5, 2010 and is resting in peace with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Prentiss County, Mississippi on April 7, 1907 on the family farm. She grew-up and finished high school while living on the farm and married Lawrence Riley Patterson. They had one child (Edwyn Joseph Patterson) and lived in the North Mississippi area until World War II when they both began working for the U.S. Air Force as civilian employees.
