Mary Lee Dame
Mary Lee Elizabeth Dame, 80, of Walnut Ridge, died Jan. 10, 2010, at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.
Born July 30, 1929, in Walnut Ridge, she was a former secretary at First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge, where she had been a longtime member. She was also a member of the Eastern Star Charles Chapter Star #410 of Walnut Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ava Marshall Allison; and a brother, Paul Allison.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Joe Dame, whom she married June 10, 1948; a son, David Dame and wife Lesa, Batesville; three daughters, Ava Jo Mensi and husband Bob, Arlington, Tenn., Beth Reese and husband Reese, Jackson, Tenn., and Tami Watson and husband Bob Mike, Hoxie; a brother, Clarence Allison and wife Alta, Little Rock; three sisters, Jean Jones, Rogers, Jimmye Carol Watson and husband Danny, Cabot, and Jill Barber, Heber Springs; nine grandchildren, Matt Dame, Emily Dame Mann, Erin Reese Hornsby, Katie Reese Lee, John Reese, Bobby Joe Watson, Billy Mike Watson, Edward House and Michael House; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral is Friday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge with Bro. Mark Harris and Dr. Sam Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
