HORSESHOE BEND — Johnny Wesley "Reb" Beck, 76, died May 23, 2007, in Horseshoe Bend.
Born June 24, 1930, in Togo, he was the son of William and Bertha Martin Beck. He was a route driver for the Dr. Pepper Company in Texas, where he earned the title of Top Salesman. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Baptist Church in Crawfordsville.
Survivors include a son, Michael Beck of Rossville, Tenn.; two daughters, Connie Barksdale of Calico Rock and Gayla Thomas of Madera, Calif.; two sisters, Lorene Smith of Osceola and Iva Lambert of Madera; six grandchildren, John Michael Beck, Brooke Barksdale, Sarah Palumbo, Holly Beck, April Barksdale and Caleb Barksdale; and a great-grandson, Justus Palumbo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Dowl Beck, Travis Beck and Wendall Beck.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. June 24 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Calico Rock with Wayne Wood officiating.
