Funeral of Mrs. Lola Johnson Held Monday

Mrs. Lola Johnson formerly of this place died in a hospital at Russell, Kansas, Thursday, April 29 following a long illness. She had been confined in the hospital for several weeks.

Mrs. Johnson (nee Sullins) was 44 years of age. Practically all of her life was spent in Izard and Fulton counties. She was married to Sammy Johnson who survives. She had been a resident of Calico Rock for about twenty years before moving to Kansas three years ago. She was engaged in the café business here for several years.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Erman Johnson of Magnolia, Ark., two daughters, Mrs. G. F. Erambert of Wichita, Kansas and Sammy Jewel of the home; two grandchildren and three sisters, one of whom is Mrs. Wesley Sears of Calico Rock.

Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church here, Monday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. D. M. Kreis, officiating. Burial was in Rose Lawn Cemetery with the Hall Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
