Floyd Farley, 78
LYNN -- Floyd Farley, 78, of Lynn died Sunday, March 21, at the VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born at Carthage, Mo., he served with the Army in the South Pacific during World War II and had lived in Joplin, Mo., before moving to the Lynn area.
He had owned Joplin Tool and Die for 35 years before retiring and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include a son, Mike Farley of Round Rock, Texas; two daughters, Margaret Plummer of Shawnee Mission, Kan., and Charlotte Rush of Joplin; four stepdaughters, Sandy Nunally of Lynn, Kathy Thielemier of Pocahontas, Susan Rivard of Owosso, Mich., and Sally Marble of Naples, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one half brother.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smithville Baptist Church, with David DeWelt officiating.
Burial will follow in Smithville Cemetery under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Lynn.
Pallbearers will include David Thielemier, Adam Nunally, Terry Lawson, Telly Lawson, Carl Durham and Corky Hunter.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
