Daughter of Mellie Egusta York and Lucy Alice Vickers York. First married Fred H. Rowell on 28 Jan 1927. Second married Grady Otis Baker on 24 December 1931.
Hermitage -- Mrs. Evora York Baker, 84, of Hermitage, a retired school teacher and retired co-owner of Baker's Garage and Automobile Parts Co., died Wednesday. She had attended the old Arkansas A&M College at Monticello. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Grady Baker. Survivors are a son, Dean Rowell of Pine Bluff; a sister, Irma Wheeler of Hermitage; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Friday at Frazer's Funeral Home in Warren. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. -- from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, March 17, 1990, Saturday
