Henry W. McLain Dies at Home Thursday
Henry W. McLain aged 64, well know citizen of this place, died at his home in East Calico Rock, Thursday morning. His death followed an illness of several weeks in the Veterans' Hospital at Fayetteville during recent months.
Mr. McLain was born at Baileyton, Tenn., and the early part of his life was spent in his native state. Shortly after the close of the Spanish-American War he enlisted in the United States Army and was in the service for a number of years. He moved to this section about 18 years ago. On December 11, 1932, he was married to Miss Octavia Duncan of Culp. To this union five children were born, two of them preceding him in death. His wife and three children, Patsy Lee, Duncan and Ganell, all of the Home, survive.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. W. T. Watson, were held at the graveside, today at 2:00 p.m. Burial with military honors was in Rose Lawn cemetery of this place. The Calico Rock post of Veterans of Foreign Wars was in charge of military rites. The Roller Funeral Service was in charge of funeral arrangements.
