T. Rance Keen
Rev. T. Rance Keen, aged 79, died at his home at Cabanal Carroll Co. Thursday, April 4, and funeral service, conducted by Revs. Powell and Green, were held at Gobbler Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with internment in the Gobbler cemetery under the direction of the Nelson Funeral Home.
The deceased was born at Nashville,TN but had been a resident of Carroll Co. many years. He was married March 29, 1890, to Martha Spradlin, who passed away July 23, 1945. Rev. Keen was the father of 11 children, 9 boys and two girls. The children surviving are: Coy, Oscar and Tom of Metalton; Jewel of Idaho; Noah of Washington; Mrs. Clay Keck of Idaho. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Nancy Doss of Cabanal, and one brother, Ike Keen of Elgin, Idaho. Rev. Keen joined the Baptist church 54 years ago and was a minister of the gospel for 46 years.
