Everett Diggs Swindle, 81, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, March 24, at his residence.
He was born in Paragould and had lived in Jonesboro since 1946. He served in the Army during World War II.
He retired from truck driving in 1984 and had worked for Air Tite Inc. for 17 years. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Villa Mae Swindle of the home; one son, Donnie Swindle of Jonesboro; one brother, Woodson Swindle of Edmond, Okla.; three sisters, Francis Nich-ols, Dorothy Browning and Louise Stark, all of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Mike Swindle, Chris Swindle, Anthony Swindle and Tim Swindle, all of Jonesboro; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Swindle, and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, with Harold Russell officiating. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
