BERRYVILLE — Clara V. Kerby, 89, of Berryville died April 9, 2007, at St. John's Hospital in Berryville. She was born April 12, 1917, at Elvins, Mo., to George Emory and Birdie Vandrene Harnolt McClary.

She was a retired nursing assistant, having worked in hospitals for 14 years and in private nursing for five years. She was a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Berryville. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Alfred Kerby, on Oct. 23, 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie DeLong and husband Dennis of Elkins and Ann Newbill of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Berryville with the Rev. Dean Smith and the Rev. James Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Snow, Dustin Snow, Michael Koon, Zachary Newbill, John McGowan and Gary Paota.

Arrangements are by Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville.
