Johnny Franklin Starnes, son of the late William and Mary (Gardner) Starnes, 69 passed away Sunday at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
He is survived by wife Janet Starnes of the Home. 1 son Greg Starnes of Ravenden 1 daughter Mischelle (Joey) Rice of Pocahontas 5 grandchildren Erica(Jeremy) Dunlap, Carley Starnes, Laura Starnes, Dylan Boucher,Hunter Rice. And 1 great-grandchild Elijah Dunlap. 2 sisters Yvonne Saeger and Derotha Bates both of Cherokee Village and 2 brothers J.B. Smith of Black Rock and William Starnes of Davis,Ill
Mr. Starnes was on the Ravenden City Council for 20 years, Sloan Hendrix School Board for 15 years and Ravenden Fire Department for 27 years.
Burial was at the Opposition Cemetery with A.J. Stracener officiating.
