WILKS, Robert - {from The Fayetteville News, 10th inst.} Yesterday morning Robert Wilks, after partaking of a hearty meal at his home some three miles from the city, complained that he felt unwell, being suddenly taken with a cramping sensation in the breast. He sought relief in rest and retired to bed. In the evening about seven o'clock he expired. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow and his children, Mrs. Josie Olney, Thomas, Misses Anna, Eliza, Lizzie and Lena. He was forty-eight years of age and the greater part of his life was spent in the White River Valley, coming here at an early age with his parents from Tennessee. In all the relations of life he was an estimable and upright citizen.
