Swifton-Samuel Houston James, 75, retired mail carrier of Swifton died Saturday. He was a deacon of Assembly Church of God and was a Justice of the Peace of Glass Township many years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Myrtle James; a son, Lawrence James, Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Harvey, Swifton and a half-brother, Clarence Laughlin, Humboldt, Tenn.
