Evelyn Louise King of Calico Rock, Arkansas, daughter of the late Otis and Mattie Franks Rowden was born May 15, 1928, in Oxford, Arkansas. She died January 25, 1994, at the Medical Center of Calico Rock at the age of 65 years.

Evelyn was united in marriage to George King on January 27, 1946, in Melbourne, Arkansas, and to this union two sons were born. She worked as an assembler at Baxter Health Care and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Calico Rock.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, George of the home; two sons, Michael Lee King of Batesville, and Terry Rowden King of Mountain Home; three sisters, Nova Robbins of Wenatchee, Washington; Virginia Brewer of Jonesboro; and Betty Cockran of Lee's Summit, Missouri; two brothers, Paul Rowden of Lakeview, Arkansas; and Jack Roweden of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and five grandchildren.

Services will be January 27, 1994, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Calico Rock with Charles Faith, Carl Cook, and John Kron officiating.

Pallbearers are Larry Hale, Leslie Hale, Phil Hale, Mark Rowden, Larry King, Jim King, Charles Webb, Randy Webb, Eddie King, Gary Garner, Terry Garner, and Roger Garner.

Interment will be at the Roselawn Cemetery in Calico Rock under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
