Prentice Edward Mills, 78, of 4313 W. Hillsboro St., died Wednesday morning in a local hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Mills was born Sept. 3, 1891 in North Carolina and was a retired salesman. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church. He was the son of John A. and Nora Rushion Mills. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Melba Wilson and Mrs. Nelma Martin, both of El Dorado; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wyatt Baptist Church with the Rev. W. A. Labeff officiating. Burial will follow in Hephzibah Cemetery, south of Magnolia, under direction of Young's under direction of Young's. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to final rites. Pallbearers will be W. M. Paul, Edwin Russell, D. D. Dumas, D. T. Dumas, Elmer Carey and J. L. Machen. (El Dorado Times - January 22, 1970)
