James Leonard Rice, 69, 504 Wright, Siloam Springs, died June 21 in Sparks Memorial Hospital, Fort Smith. Born March 22, 1905, in Siloam Springs, he was the son of Perry and Bessie Wilson Rice, a member of First Baptist Church, and retired owner of Rice Recreation Parlor.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Rice of the home; two sons, Wilby Rice, Denton, Tex., and Phillip Rice, Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Mrs. Sonja Kay Jones, Fort Smith; one brother, True Rice, Fayetteville; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with the Rev. Jeff Cheatham officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Garden, Fayetteville, under the direction of Wasson.
