PRIVATE GROVER C. GIBSON - Funeral services for Private Grover C. Gibson, 24-year-old veteran of World War II, (contributor's note: according to headstone, Private Gibson was 25 years, 6 months and 28 days old), has been scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Putnam Funeral Home Chapel.
Col. Hudson B. Phillips, chaplain at Camp Chaffee, will officiate and burial, with military honors, will be at Forest Park Cemetery.
Private Gibson, whose home was at 2107 North I Street, was killed July 28, 1943, on the Island of Sicily. He was a member of the Forty-Seventh Division.
