Erlene Christine Beshires, 71
Erlene Christine Beshires, 71, of Alexander died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at her residence. She was born July 12, 1931, in Smithville. She was a former manager of the J & J Truck Stop in Walnut Ridge and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay C. Beshires; a daughter, Catherine Ann Miller; and a son, Michael Leroy Miller.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry Ray and Wanda Miller of Paragould; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Agnes and James Harp of Paragould, Pam and Paul McCoy, and Nancy Baxter, all of Alexander, and Cathy Sexton of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Kay Snow of San Diego, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bryan Funeral Home Inc. in Hoxie with Harold Russell officiating.
Burial will be at Parks Cemetery, near Annieville.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorials be made to Saline County Memorial Hospital in Benton.
