CALICO ROCK - Carl Franklin Stapleton, 65, of Calico Rock died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Calico Rock.
Born July 14, 1938, at Calico Rock, he was the son of William Martin Stapleton and May Thomas Stapleton. He worked for McDonnell Douglas, Baxter Labs and Hayes Brothers Flooring.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Stapleton; two sons, Kenny Stapleton of Wideman and Bobby Stapleton of Calico Rock; a daughter, Debbie Jeffery of Franklin; two brothers, Daran Stapleton of Benton and Fred Stapleton of Calico Rock; five sisters, Mabel Lovelace and Janice Hixon, both of Yakama, Wash., Violet Barris and Charlene Stapleton, both of Calico Rock, and Maxine Jeffery of Benton; and seven grandchildren, Amanda Stapleton, Travis Stapleton, Brandon Stapleton, Seth Stapleton, Ashley Vanscoder, Jessica Jeffery and Matthew Jeffery.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Orbie Stapleton and Billy Stapleton.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Calico Rock with Donnie Speak officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Stapleton, Gary Stapleton, Rick Knowle, Buster Jones, Rick Curtis and Mary Stapleton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
